The ability to share your music and perform for audiences is a key aspect of being a musician. However, we often see aspiring musicians focus solely on learning theory and technique and limit the performance aspect to yearly recitals.
At MicroPlanes, our mission is to change that by building a community of musicians and teachers that focus on the performance aspect of music and help budding musicians build a collection of pieces that they are ready to perform at any time.
Our lessons are song-based and are designed to complement your regular musical journey by enabling you to explore various music genres of interest, even if they fall outside of your regular path.
We believe in making music-learning easy and accessible to everyone, so all our classes are taught free, by volunteer teachers. However, we do encourage you to make a donation, if you are able, to support the AVID program.
Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) is an in-school academic support program for grades seven through twelve. The purpose of the program is to prepare students for college eligibility and success. AVID places students with high academic potential in advanced classes and levels the playing field for minority, rural, low-income, and other students without a college-going tradition in their families.
100% of your donation will go directly to AVID.
